Accomodation

ISCOMS can arrange your accommodation during your stay in Groningen. Please read the information about the different options carefully.

The ISCOMS offers you the following options. Please note, that the accommodation has to be paid in advance.

1. Stay with a student
You will stay in the house of a Dutch student. The student also has an admission ticket for ISCOMS 2012 and may be able to show you the city of Groningen. The number of students that live in a student house varies, e.g. you may end up in a house with two students, but it is also possible that you will stay in a house with eight other students. You will probably have a roommate. When you choose to stay in a student house, you can indicate the period you wish to stay. The period you wish to stay has to be agreed between you and the student who you are staying with. You must also agree upon whether you have to bring your own bed linen. Breakfast will be provided for.

Please note that the ISCOMS organization will place you in a student house, you can not choose for yourself.

Price: €19,50 a night

2. International Student Accommodation
The accommodation is located near the center of Groningen and is a housing complex. You will have your own room with a bed, desk, chair, closet and internet connection. You will share the kitchen, bath room and toilet with students across the hall. The other students are all abroad so the working language is English. There are several living rooms in the building, where you can watch TV at night or have a drink with other students. As you have your own room, you will have more privacy at the Housing Office but you do have to provide for your own breakfast. There are several units with showers and toilets in the corridors and there are washing machines and dryers available. Furthermore there are several ''locked in'' gardens which are lovely to sit in when the weather is nice. It will take you approximately 10 minutes to bike to the city centre. This option is availabe for 4 or 5 nights between 4th and 9th of June 2012.
