Tips & Tricks

If your abstract is selected to be presented at the ISCOMS, you should take the following guidelines for presentation into account. Click on the presentation format for which you have been selected to view the guidelines.

General

  • Keep your presentation simple and clear! Not everyone who attends your presentation is an expert on your research field. 
  • Use general terms during your presentation. Avoid using research terms which are too difficult. 
  • Speak slowly and be loud enough. Usually it is best to speak a little bit louder and slower than you think is necessary. 
  • Speak towards your audience instead of towards your poster/powerpoint presentation. 
  • Always practice your presentation in front of others. They can give you very usefull comments and advice.
