Social Programme

Monday 7th June

For the enthusiastic participants that arrive during the weekend or on Monday, there will be drinks and snacks in a café in the center in Groningen on Monday evening! This is a perfect opportunity to get to know other participants of the congress and the First Year Crew.

Tuesday 8th June

On Tuesday the majority of the presenting participants will arrive. After registering at the UMCG, everyone will have the opportunity to be accompanied to their accommodation. In the afternoon there is a possibility to have a tour in the UMCG, through the city of Groningen or to an exhibition held in the University Museum about the human body and its anatomy!
The evening programme will entail a buffet in Villa Volonte, the medical faculty bar in Groningen. Join all the other presenters and the ISCOMS organization and hosts and het to know each other in an informal way. All the presenting students will have a free entrance.

Wednesday 9th June

After a interesting day full of lectures and workshops, there will be a exciting evening programme, located in the Nienoord Castle. This is a castle from the 16th century. With lovely accompanying music on the background, you can enjoy an elaborate buffet, along with all the other students. After the dinner there will be time to walk through the picturesque gardens and to have a drink with the other participants and of course the ISCOMS organization.

Thursday 10th June

The congress has unfortunately come to an end, but the social program certainly hasn't! After the closing ceremony there will be a buffet in the restaurant Huize Maas followed by the Global Village Party. This is evening has been a succes for many years! Everyone can enjoy a great party wearing their traditional clothes and tasting different snacks from all over the world. Since there are no more lectures planned for the next day, this is a party that will last till the very early hours of the next day.

Friday 11th June

On Friday, the Post Congress tour will take place. This is for presenting foreign participants only and will be a day in which you will be taken to amazing sights in the Netherlands. For more information, please take a look at the Post Congress Tour page.
